Camps are Co-Ed with the exception of:
Middle School, High School, & Freshman Prep Camps, & National Team Training Camps (girls only)
Boys All-Skills and Boys' Tryout Camps (boys only)
Summer is a great time to better your skills and get the reps needed to make your school or club team in the fall, or just get learn how to play volleyball! CJVA offers tons of summer day camps to help you stay at the top of your game! Calendars are below to plan your summer and plan your day. Calendars are by week and time so you can register for just one camp or register for several to make it a full day. If registering for multiple camps during the same week, be sure to bring snacks and/or lunch for between sessions. Once you plan your week, clinic on the link below the calendar to register.

Summer Programs
All-Skills Camps:
This camp covers all of the fundamentals of volleyball both advanced and basic with sessions focused on the six main skills; passing, setting, hitting, blocking, defense and serving as well as training the players in volleyball systems and teaching game strategies.
Players will be grouped by age and skill level.
National Team Training camp is intended for players with national team experience. This advanced camp will give players an opportunity to train with top level coaches and play alongside other players with national team experience. The NationalTeam Training camp will incorporate two pillars of CJVA’s Program: Position Specific Training and Team System Training. Players must have a comprehensive knowledge of different offenses/rotations.
Skills Academies - These two-day camps will offer two major benefits; condensed skill work and game strategy work. They will focus on one to two major skill in the game starting with proper technique and progress to several advanced concepts, and end with applying that skill in game-like situations. These camps are perfect if you’re looking for extra work on a certain area of your game.
- Serve and Serve Receive Academy - This camp covers the stance, lift, and contact for several serving techniques, such as top-spin, float serves, and jumpserves, serving strategy. In addition, learn techniques to respond to these varied serving techniques, including platform passing, overhand passing, covering the seams, and passing from every angle on the court.
- Setting Academy - This camp covers proper hand and arm extension with proper footwork in various situations for setters, and reviews the various sets in an offense. The Advanced version of this academy will also cover advanced techniques for use in game-like situations.
- Attacking and Defense Academy - For players looking to improve their all-around game, strengthening both front and back row skills. This camp covers proper arm swing, hand contact, and footwork for attacking from the front row, and advanced attacking concepts, as well as proper digging form, including platform, footwork, pursuit, and most importantly, reading the attacker.
- Attacking and Blocking Academy- This camp covers proper arm swing, hand contact, and footwork for attacking from the front row, as well as defensive tactics for front row players, including proper blocking technique and footwork for getting to the attacker, and pulling off of the net after the block.
- Defense and Ball Control Academy - This camp covers proper digging techniques from various attacks and angles, reading the play as it develops, and reading the attacker's hitting intention, as well as several general ball control techniques to help players become more well-rounded players.
- Passing Academy - This camp covers platform angles, footwork, serve receive, defense, freeballs, and passing speeds and heights
- Attacking Academy - This camp covers arm swing, footwork, and timing of attacking, as well as training players for various attacking tempos and incorporating game-like strategies and situations to their swing.
Prep Camp Series - This series is to help players prepare directly for school tryouts
Middle School All-Skills Prep Camp – This camp covers both technique and strategies of volleyball at the middle school level, covering several modified skills and systems often taught in grades 6th-8th. Campers will be taught the proper execution of the six fundamentals skills in volleyball; serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking and digging. The sessions will also include game systems and strategies at the middle school level.
Freshman Prep Camp - Offered just prior to school tryouts, this camp is designed to provide players with the technical and competitive advantage necessary to secure positions on their school teams. This camp will introduce the dynamics involved with a competitive try-out and its training sessions. Weeks before competitive Middle School try-outs, participants will have the opportunity to experience the format and typical coach's expectations during try-out week.
High School Prep Camp - Offered just prior to school tryouts, this camp is designed to provide players with the technical and competitive advantage necessary to secure positions on their school teams.
