2023 Girls’ Club Team Tryouts
Thank you for those of you who attended tryouts! We had a great turn out and look forward to another successful season! If you missed tryouts and are looking to train in a team setting, you can check out our youth league page that can be found under the PROGRAMS page on the website. Tryout info for our 2025 season will be posted over the summer.
CJVA is hosting multiple tryouts for our 2023-24 season. We've split our tryouts to reduce the numbers at each tryout to better evaluate players for the level they are trying out for; National, Regional, or Local teams. Register for the tryout that best suits the level of play or team you are hoping to earn a spot on. Age group is based on grade in Sept 2023, but dependent on USAV Age Definitions an athlete could play up or down.

CJVA National Team Tryouts
National Team Tryouts is an incredible opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level of club volleyball. CJVA’s National Team training is designed to identify and develop elite players who have the potential to compete at the highest level. Tryouts will be conducted by CJVA’s top coaches who will assess each player's skills and abilities.
Players are evaluated on their athletic ability, volleyball skills, teamwork, and overall potential. Coaches will also be looking for players who demonstrate good sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Those who are selected for the team will have access to top-tier training, coaching, and competition opportunities.
REGIONAL/LOCAL TEAM TRYOUTS
(Ruby, Red, Blue & Sapphire teams)
Both tryout days are recommended, but not required.
Regional Club Teams are designed for players who are interested in playing at a competitive level but with a less demanding practice and travel schedule. Regional teams are perfect for the multi sport athlete or players that can't make the committment to a 3 practices a week or the number of weekends expected of a national team. Regional Teams practice 2 days a week for 2 hours and participate in 4 single day and 2 multi day events.
Local teams are designed for younger, less experienced players looking to make the transition to a more competitive program. Locals teams are available to players 9 to 14 years old. Local teams practice 2 days a week for 1 1/2 hours and participate in 4 single day in-house events.
