Bio:

Howdy, my name is Amar and I’ve been playing volleyball for close to a decade! I love this
sport and teaching it has become a passion of mine. I am a setter but I have experience playing
all positions. I am eager to continue to teach the youth this great game and hopefully they can
love the sport the same way I do!

Bio

How would you describe your coaching style?
Fun, informative, good pace, friendly and great quotes!

What is your favorite characteristic in a player?
The willingness to learn by getting better and improving on a previous mistake and/or breaking
an old habit.

Who are the people who have influenced you the most as a coach?
My high school coach, PJ Schaefer. He introduced me to this game and I haven’t stopped
playing since. This game became my hobby, my favorite sport and something that has led me to
meet great people. If it wasn’t for him, I would’ve been missing out on a lot!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not in coaching mode?
Honestly, playing volleyball myself. I am always playing whether here at CJVA or at a park.
Besides this, going to the gym and hanging with friends and family.

What is your favorite thing about volleyball?
There are so many things to love about this sport but if I had to choose one, it would be the
connections/friendships that are built through it. I have met so many cool individuals and have
made lifelong friendships through this sport. That I am thankful for.
