Bio
In 2008 and 2009 I was awarded MVP from Highland High School and in 2008 the Heart of the Team award from WVC.
I have my BA from Mount Saint Mary College in New York and MS from Seton Hall University. I am currently a research project manager at Mount Sinai in NYC.
I have coached with CJVA since 2018 and have been the assistant coach for the 15 and 16 Ruby teams.
How would you describe your coaching style?
Motivational. I constantly am striving for my players to want to get better as an individual and as a team.
What is your favorite characteristic in a player
Focus. A player that has all the skills but no focus, does not have the whole package. A player that can focus in on the action, whether during practice or game play, is a valuable asset to any team.
Who are the people that have influenced you most as a coach?
Coaches Carrie Spiegel, Heidi Dippel and Tasha Dudar. All three were coaches of mine during my time at Whoosh VBC. Not only were they fantastic players themselves, but they had such a passion for coaching that I thought “that’s something I want to do in the future”. That was 10 years ago and I’m finally able to fulfill that goal.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not in coaching mode?
Baking, reading and traveling.
What’s your favorite thing about volleyball?
It is a 100% team sport that requires constant communication and partnership between teammates.
